Dueter EXP 12 Review

Yes, yes I know this is technically a biking pack, but I couldn’t resist the functionality this pack provides. Combined with its urban good looks and super functional storage space, it was hard to turn away. It is perfect for that full day 8 to 10 hour hike, with ample room for additional water and food.
The side entry water reservoir compartment is super handy and sure beats having to stuff the water bladder in from the top. I’m currently using a 1.8 liter bladder, but will surely upgrade to a bigger reservoir for longer hikes.

ON THE OUTSIDE
The Dueter EXP 12 has a hidden rain cover perfect for keeping contents dry. The shoulder straps are a rubberized mesh, which is not only great for ventilation, but also contribute to a stable, solid feel when on the body. Not to mention how easy it is to clean. The zippered pockets on the hip straps are also great for quick access to your phone (iPhone 5 just fits) or small tool or a small snack.

ON THE INSIDE
There are many storage options inside the EXP 12 with lots of organized zippered pockets for small tools, lighter and valuables . The main compartments offer ample room for extra clothes and food storage.
Combined with the fact that I do alot of biking here in Vancouver and the average distance of a local day hike, this Hydration Pack was an easy pick.Dueter EXP 12
